What are Raiffe glass bags made from?
All Raiffe products are made from hand blown glass.
Are these bags actually functional, or are they art pieces?
These products are original custom works of art. Many of the handbags double as sculptures. In fact, we encourage you to wear your bag to special events and parties. While this glass is surprisingly strong, it should still be treated with care, particularly the mirrorized or gilded finish.
Can I request a custom glass bag?
Absolutely, we are always creating new pieces and love collaborating with individuals to bring forth new creations. Visit our Commissions page to submit your request and start the conversation. We will respond within 1-2 business days.
Why are so many pieces listed as sold out?
Each piece is made to order and uniquely handcrafted. Product photos on our website show the original artwork; when a piece is available to be remade, your order will be a newly created reproduction made especially for you.
Because molten glass is shaped by hand, subtle variations in color, pattern, form, and finish are natural and part of what makes each piece one of a kind.
How do I care for my Raiffe glass piece?

General Care Instructions
Cleaning:
Windex or a similar glass cleaner is safe for cleaning both the inside and outside of the bag. Apply with a soft, non-abrasive cloth or paper towel and wipe gently.
Avoid exposing the interior to excessive water, harsh chemicals, solvents, or other cleaning products. Unless stated otherwise, do not put your glass bag in the dishwasher or fill it up with water. It is not a vase.
Scratches & Everyday Use:
The interior finish is durable enough for normal use. Everyday objects such as keys are generally safe and should not scratch the surface.
Sharp or abrasive objects, however, can damage or scratch the mirrorized or gilded finish. Avoid objects with sharp edges or points.
Handling:
Although your glass bag is stronger than it may appear, it is still glass. Avoid impacts, drops, and sudden contact with hard surfaces.
