Joshua Raiffe is a Brooklyn based glass artist and designer whose work moves between contemporary art, design, and fashion. Known for transforming familiar objects and symbols of luxury into sculptural glass forms, he explores intimacy, tension, beauty, and desire through work that feels at once seductive, fragile, and emotionally charged. His signature handbags have become a defining part of his practice, recasting a functional accessory as an object of fantasy, vulnerability, and spectacle.

Raiffe’s work has earned international attention for its distinct fusion of craftsmanship, illusion, and fashion. His glass interpretation of the Coperni Swipe Bag marked a breakthrough moment, bringing his practice to a global audience and cementing his place within the conversation between sculpture and style. His pieces have since appeared on runways during New York, Paris, and Tokyo Fashion Weeks in collaboration with designers including Kate Barton, PatBO, and Bibhu Mohapatra. More recently, his Witness Collection introduced prosthetic eyes, extending his visual language into new territory shaped by perception, presence, and the unsettling experience of being both observer and observed.

He received his Bachelor of Fine Arts from the Tyler School of Art and further developed his technical training at Pilchuck Glass School and Penland School of Craft.
